In a first of its kind innovation the internet giant proposes to make gmail available, offline, to begin with to the users of gmail in US or UK English. It would help in downloading mails, while offline, to the computer’s hard drive. The users can also compose a reply, offline, but should go online to send this. The software can be downloaded and installed from gmail. Currently this facility is available for internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2 and Firefox 3 and to the other browsers the facility would be added soon.
