Environmental Disaster Caused By BPA
Unfortunately Bisphenol-A (BPA), a raw material in plastic bottles and food containers has been so far thought to be less harmful and thus the USFDA (US food and Drug Admin) had not banned its usage. Researchers from the University of Rochester in New York have published online in the Environmental Health Perspectives journal, that erroneously it was believed that BPA was excreted quickly from our system , whereas it is excreted slower by at least eight times. Reason for this could be the presence of BPA in our system on account of pollution and contaminated water. Thus it calls for an immediate ban on the usage of BPA in food and bottle containers and advent of new technology in packing.
